Saturday 8th and Sunday 9th June from 09:30 to 10:30 – Salvo Angelico
God Shiva, in one of his representations, is Nataraja, the master of dance who squashes “ignorance” under his feet. At the same time he is the perfect yogi, immersed in neverending blessing and samadhi.
Hata yoga starts from the lowest level, the absolute perception of our phisical, “gross” body, a basic starting point in dance, to lead the pupils up to the superconsciousness stages.
Salvo Angelico approached yoga very early in his life and began his learning in the well known Accademia Yoga in Rome. While deepening his knowledge in hata yoga he also studied tantric yoga and kashmir shivaism. After several years of deep practice, he got a teacher diploma in India at the Yoga Vidya Gurukulamî Ashram held by Swami Ananda Saraswati.
Introducing the Bolognese tarocchino
Saturday 8th June from 11:30 to 13:00 – Lorenzo Cuppi
Few are aware of the fact that the tarot cards were born in a fifteenth century Italian court to practice a brilliant game that introduced the concept of the trump card. Fortune telling with tarot card, instead, was born several centuries later. The game Tarocchino Bolognese traces its origins to the first half of the ‘400s. Out of all the card games in Europe, it has the unique charateristic of having being preserved faithfully, for at least four centuries, in Bologna and its terroritories. Today this complex game survives, other than in some families, mostly in bars, clubs, societies and cultural centres, of which the ARCI San Lazzaro is also one. During the stage we shall speak a little about the history of the game, of its antique cards and, if possible, we shall attempt to learn to play a little bit.
